The material here is presented as the result of discussions and experience in the East Midlands, reinforced by text from the National Learning Directory’s ‘Data Entry Standards’ v 6.51. See the Glossary for definitions of terminology, including the language used regarding
conformance.

These recommendations refine the formats given in the XCRi Course Advertising Profile v1.1 specification2 to meet the requirements of the 14-19 sector. These recommendations MUST be followed by all suppliers of XCRI-CAP data in the East Midlands for use in the 14-19 sector.
Non-compliance will make interoperability across the East Midlands 14-19 sector more difficult.
